Head of
Campaign Strategy

Remote[Contract or FT]Reports to founderSteam / PC

Own the plan, not the feed

Liminal Arc is a small studio that ships co-op games. Our first title, Data Breach, launches on Steam on 21 July 2026, and we have more in the pipeline behind it. We do not have a publisher, which means nobody upstairs is running the campaign for us. We are looking for the person who runs it.

This is a strategy seat. You are not making the TikToks. You are building the plan for the whole campaign: what we announce and when, what the demo is for, which festivals we enter, when we discount, and how we make sure people actually see the game when it all goes live. Before launch day there is one score, and it is wishlists.

Twelve months in, you should have run one full campaign start to finish, from announce through the first big sale, and be able to show what worked, what did not, and what every dollar bought.

What you own

What this role is not

Being honest so you can self select out. This is not a fit if you are looking for:

What we're looking for

Required

  • You have run the campaign on at least one shipped PC or Steam game, with numbers you can walk us through
  • You have run creator outreach at real scale, 100 channels or more, and controlled the timing yourself
  • You understand how Steam decides what to show people, not just how to fill out a store page
  • You have owned a budget and made the cut calls yourself
  • You know the co-op games market and why its hits became hits

Preferred

  • You already know co-op creators you can call, not cold email
  • You know which language translations actually sell copies and which are for show
  • You have seeded Discord and Reddit without it looking fake
  • You have worked at a publisher or a platform before
  • You have watched a launch fail and can say exactly why

Answer these instead of a cover letter

No cover letter, no portfolio deck required. Send us your answers to these. Short is fine. Specific is mandatory.

  1. Pick a co-op game that blew up in the last two years and tell us what actually made it blow up.Under 300 words. "It went viral" is a non answer. We want the chain of events.
  2. Plan a co-op game campaign from announce to launch, then split a fixed budget across it.Where does the demo sit and why. What is each step supposed to get us. What gets cut first when something underperforms.
  3. Get hundreds of creators to post inside the same window. How, and what breaks? We care more about what goes wrong than the happy path.
  4. A game hits 40,000 wishlists the week before launch. What does that tell you, and what do you do with the last seven days?Show your reasoning, not a rule of thumb.
  5. Look at the Data Breach Steam page. What is the first thing you would change? One change. Say why, and what you would expect it to move.

How to apply

Answer the five questions below and drop a link to something you ran. No cover letter, no deck. We read everything and reply either way — first conversation is 30 minutes with the founder, and it is about your answers, not your resume.

Compensation: [RANGE / STRUCTURE]. Say what you need and we will tell you straight whether we can meet it.
